Dieser Staat – welcher kleiner als die Provinz der Prinz Edward Inseln ist – wurde zu einem Land der Superlativen. Die größten und höchsten Gebäude, die meisten 5-Sterne-Hotels, der weltweit größte Flughafen, milliardenschwere künstlich aufgeschüttete Inselparadiese, der Bau ganzer neuer supermoderner Stadtteile und die teuersten und luxuriösesten Messen und Pferderennen – all das befindet sich in Dubai.
National Geographic HD produzierte Anfang 2008 einer der eindrucksvollsten und interessantesten Dokumentationen über dieses Wüstenparadies. Zwar auf Englisch – aber allein aufgrund der einmaligen Filmaufnahmen lohnt sich ein Blick!
